Specialize in thermal night hunting across thousands of acres of land in Johnston County, N.C. Over the last 20 years, our wild hog population has increased exponentially. These smart and elusive animals habitat in sloughs, creeks, swamps, and low-lying areas up and down the Neuse River basin. We use modern day technology along with a little old timey wisdom to give you not only the hunt of a lifetime, but the experience of a lifetime. Our #1 goal above all else is to see each and every one of our hunters be successful.
Our hunts typically take place about an hour before sunset until you get your opportunity. We’ll start with a briefing at our hunting lodge. We will discuss stands, scopes, guns, and what to do after you take your shot. Normally we start out still hunting in nice dry box blinds and then depending on the activity and movement we transition over to spot and stalk. We completely leave the decision up to you when it comes to how long you sit but we can assure you that all bait piles and feeders are monitored consistently each day. The stand we choose for you will have been thoughtfully and strategically placed, thinking about your shot opportunity for the night. Sometimes this may happen early in the evening or early the next morning. The hogs we hunt are completely fair chase and wild. We cannot guarantee anything. Our job is to put you in position to take the shot, the rest is up to you! If the still hunting is unsuccessful after a few hours of waiting then we’ll put your skills to the test in our spot and stalk method. We use all cellular cameras to keep us posted on movement throughout the night. We monitor not only the hog movement but the amount of food that is left under feeders so we can carefully execute the next plan.
Weather depending, dress warm enough to withstand freezing temperatures or soft layers under milder temperatures. The weather can change drastically in 24 hours here in Eastern NC. Waterproof boots are not always necessary but are highly encouraged. We abide by all NC wildlife rules and regulations when it comes to our hunts. Above all, we put safety first in every aspect of our operation. You will need a valid NC hunting license to hunt with us, as well as some form of blaze orange. You do not need any big game tags to harvest a feral hog. Here’s a link to the NC Wildlife website for any more questions regarding hunting or licensing. Hunting & Trapping | NC Wildlife. Bring a large cooler for the meat. (Preferably a 75 qt or bigger).
1 night hog hunt(1 hog per person)
1 AR-15 rifle with thermal scope
Don’t feel like skinning your hog? No problem. We’ll handle it for you.
1 night lodging per person- $150 (supper and snacks included).
*It is important to note, once you pull the trigger, or have a chance to pull the trigger that is your opportunity. We take pride in knowing that you’re coming to hunt with us because you feel confident that we’ll put you in the position to take a wild hog. One of the main reasons is because we keep minimal pressure on them. When a wild hog senses excessive pressure, they move on to the next branch or creek and may not return for quite some time. We like to get in, take care of business, then get out.
Please reach out directly to TJ Sasser @ 919-223-3647
